“Green” products have increasingly become a topic of interest to the average homeowner in today’s world. As they’ve become more and more popular, “Green” products are now commonly available for use in homes, offices, schools, and food services. But, what does it really mean to be, “Green?” To say something is “Green,” refers to goods and services, laws, guidelines and policies that inflict reduced, minimal, or no harm upon ecosystems or the environment.
According to the American Association of Poison Control Centers, poisoning is the leading cause of injury-related death in the U.S. In 2014, there were 56 poison centers serving 323 million people nationwide. Isn’t that shocking? With that said, some of these types of issues can be avoided altogether if more and more people are encouraged to use “Green” cleaning products. If you still aren’t convinced that being “Green” can make a difference, check this out: 71% of Poison Control callers are calling from their residence, 78% of these cases were marked as unintentional, and 9% of poison exposure is due to household cleaning substances.
We understand that most parents are very responsible with their cleaning products when they have little kids or curious pets in their home. The products are usually locked away in a designated labeled cabinet, only to be brought out knowing that their kids will be heavily supervised during the time the products are in use.
With that said, wouldn’t it still be nice to have the peace of mind that these potentially harmful chemicals don’t need to be in your home at all? After all, accidents still can happen. Well, now with professional carpet cleaning, it’s possible.
Most reputable carpet cleaning companies use green cleaning products when inside the customer’s home to clean their carpet. These products are made with a blend of natural plant extracts that are 100% safe for children and pets to be around. Green products work just as well as any other harsh chemical would, while being ecofriendly too! Aside from the everyday green products used to clean carpet, there are also “Green” sanitizing products that can be applied to your carpet if need be. This type of product is used as an added bonus for certain types of “contaminated” situations to rid the carpet of excess bacteria and germs. “Green” carpet sanitizing products can usually be used to meet other cleaning needs as well. For example, the green product Ayoub uses can also be used to clean countertops, cabinets, refrigerators, sinks, windows, door handles, walls, car dashboards, floor mats, cutting boards, light switches, and remote controls… just to name a few. “Green” carpet protectant is also available for application after it’s cleaned as well. These types of products are safer for the environment and very effective in preventing stains, premature wear, and stops soils from sticking to carpet fibers easily.
In case you wanted some background info: This product originated from a family who had a son with only 10% of his immune system functioning. His parents worked really hard to keep him unexposed to germs, yet he also couldn’t tolerate the harmful chemicals used to keep the germs away. During this difficult time, a “Green” cleaning product was created for them so they could help keep their sons environment as safe as possible while keeping his condition under control too. Isn’t that fascinating?
